SWEET-SMELLING shrubs are stimulating the senses at Collaton St Mary Primary School.

The Paignton pupils arranged an array of fundraising events, and then used the money to create a garden to arouse the sensory stimulus.

Year Three teacher Nicki Morley said: “This term all Key Stage 2 pupils have been planning, designing and building a sensory garden in our school.

“We researched the sort of plants we would need that would be good for all five of the senses, and then we planted all the plants.”

To celebrate the opening the pupils arranged a garden party, inviting governors, parents and members of the community.
